Η FoodOxys FoodOxys is a spin-off company founded by the University of Thessaly in collaboration with the Laboratory of Animal Physiology of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. The director of the Laboratory and the founder of the company is ProfessorDimitrios Kouretas.
A significant percentage of FoodOxys shares are held by graduates of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology in Larissa.
FoodOxys operates in 2 main sectors. The first concerns the measurement of antioxidants in food, a service that led to the first quality certification mark of agri-food products (AFQ). The second involves the determination of antioxidants in humans, aiming towards disease prevention through a combination of personalized diet, exercise and fasting, designed according to each individual’s metabolic profile.
FoodOxys has received funding from Uni.fund since its first year of operation.
Since 2021 FoodOxys is one of the companies of Elevate Greece.
