Research Interests: Genomic and genetic analysis in mammals aiming to the identification and functional analysis of disease related genes by exploiting in vitro and cell systems and transgenic animals. Population genetics: estimation of genetic variation and structure in natural populations for the study of evolutionary patterns, phylogenesis and biodiversity conservation.
