Vasiliki (Vicky) G. Tsirkone

Vicky G. Tsirkone graduated from the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology in 2009. She continued her studies at the Kapodistrian University of Athens, from where she received her master’s degree in Bioinformatics. At the same time, she worked for 5 years as a research technician at the National Research Institute and specifically in the field of potential drug design. In 2016 she obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from KULEUVEN University in Belgium. Her doctoral dissertation was in the field of immunology. During her academic career she has published 9 original articles in internationally recognized journals with more than 160 citations to date, she has 24 submissions to the pubmed data bank, she has received 2 awards in international scientific conferences, she has participated in oral presentations in 18 Hellenic and European conferences, and she has supervised 2 postgraduate students. In 2017 she became a member of Doctor’s Formulas, a Greek company in the field of nutritional supplements and in 2018 she became the head of the medical information department. Since April 2020 she has been working as a Key Account Manager at the pharmaceutical company UCB in the immunology department.
