On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 10:00-12:00, in Room 1 of the Department, a Student Information Day for the Postgraduate Programs of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology will be held.
The event is mainly aimed at 4-year students but is open to any student of the Department who wishes to attend.
What are the everyday challenges faced by modern women scientists?
The Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology records the views of active modern women in science and organizes a campaign on social media. The event will include talks and end with a round-table discussion of the participants and the public.
The event is open to the scientific community and the general public.

Citizens, in collaboration with international agencies, are collecting field data to assess climate change on Mount Olympus.
The activity also includes our students’ visit to Mount Olympus and on-site training.

In collaboration with the Diachronic Museum of Larissa and the visual artists’ group “8”, the BBD organizes an art exhibition to reveal an element inextricably linked with history and the lives of the people, and in parallel, an object of continuous scientific research.
The exhibition is addressed to the scientific community and the general public.
The alumni week will conclude with a big party in the area outside the Department, in the Biopolis campus.
