Alumni Week
A week of events will be dedicated to the Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology graduates on 2-6 June 2025, at Biopolis campus, Larisa.
The Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology organizes and invites all its graduates, the scientific community, and everyone else to a series of events, scientific networking activities, and art exhibitions that will culminate in a big party!
The program will include:
- June, 2nd
- 11:00-13:00, Hippocrates Auditorium, ERASMUS DAY
- Introductory speech by the Department’s Erasmus program coordinator, Professor Dimitris Mossialos
- Lecture: Dr Claus Schwechheimer, Professor of Plant Systems Biology, Technical University of Munich, Germany, ΕRASMUS collaborator
- 18:00, Hippocrates Auditorium
Opening lecture by Dr Dimitrios Kouretas, Professor of Animal Physiology & Toxicology

- June, 3rd
The Synthetic Biology team, iGem Thessaly, will present highlights of all the projects that have been developed over the years. - June, 4th

- Opening of an art exhibition entitled ‘Seeds of Art’ in collaboration with the art group “8” and the Diachronic Museum of Larissa.
- The week will conclude with a big party in the area outside the department, on the Biopolis campus
